Today I finally published my article,
Spirits of Ghosts - True Ghost Stories.
I won't talk more about the article here, because you can read it by clicking on the link. What I would like to talk about in this blog is the photo I created to attach to the article.
I wanted to create a ghostly image of a person, so I took advantage of Photoshop's amazing array of filters as I played around with the photo. I couldn't choose just anybody, of course, because to choose a child or a grandchild, or even a parent or sibling would be just asking for trouble. After all, I wanted to make the photo look ghostly. And to attach a word like "dead" to any living soul seemed a little risky.
So imagine my surprise (love these kinds of surprises) when the image suddenly took on a ghostly appearance all by itself. I am not a whiz at Photoshop. I use it as a kind of playground. And this time, I had so much fun with it, I decided to utilize it more in the future.
Where is the article published? I'd love to read it. I had my non-fiction ghost story published in FATE magazine this issue.
