While this particular article appears below in my updates, I want to bring special attention to it, because Writer of Blogs is also a blog about writing. Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to have had masterful teachers who have been very knowledgeable about writing and the writing process. Among them are a fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Fitzgerald, who knew every rule of grammar ever written, and two instructors for Kankakee Community College, Chuck Stolhand and Pam Mack who were equally expert in the field of English grammar.
Mr. Stolhand and Ms. Mack were the types of teachers that people who wanted to slide through school with average grades would have avoided. They were strict, they were professional, and they were conscientious. They also deeply cared about their students and wanted them to succeed with their writing.
From their experience, I crafted the article, 8 Mistakes That Cripple Writers, in an attempt to impart the wisdom I learned from these amazing teachers. From the comments that appear below the article (click the link and find the comments at the bottom of the page), I can tell the article made an impact. I invite you to click on the link to discover which 8 Mistakes That Cripple Writers you might be making.
