2 Great Links from 2 Great Writers

I have two GREAT links to offer writers today – one from Donna Cavanagh – the other from Marie Anne St. Jean.

Humor Outcasts

The first one is for humor writers who may have been ejected from different writing sites for various reasons. Comedy writing isn't for everyone, and as comedy writers know, even though comedy writing looks easy, writing comedy is one of the most difficult of all genres to write. And now you have a venue in which to showcase your comedic talents – Humor Outcasts.

Are you one of those writers who can make people laugh? If you have a talent for comedy writing, I invite you to visit Donna Cavanagh's Humor Outcasts site. And if you would like to read my showcase article about Humor Outcasts, please click THIS BLOG.

Write, Wrong or Indifferent

The second site I would like to direct you to is Marie Anne St. Jean's site, Write, Wrong or Indifferent. In particular I'd like you to read her latest entry, Practice Your HTML With Practiceboard.

If, like me, you visit sites that include HTML codes to use in your blogs and articles with directions that say, "just change it," you may be as confused as I am about how to incorporate HTML coding into your blog or article. Hearing "just change it," tells you absolutely nothing.

With the link Marie Ann provides in her blog, though, you can see how the changes you make will actually work. Click Practice Your HTML With Practiceboard or just visit her site at Write, Wrong or Indifferent.

If you would like to read more from this author, please see the sidebar and THANK YOU for visiting!

Boost Your Creativity – Halt Writer's Block

To launch my new website, Writing Creatively , my first OFFICIAL  Writing Creatively blog – this blog – is dedicated to  Writing Creatively .

The blog itself will be short, because the links I am providing are valuable to writers who want to boost their creativity and deal effectively with writer's block. The links, visible below, also appear above this blog post.

May you always write creatively and may you never experience writer's block.

Networked Blogs on Facebook

Today's blog will appear in two places, My Heart Blogs to You (for the A-Z challenge) and Writing Creatively (formerly Writer of Blogs), because the information in this blog is intended for writers.

Anyone who has a blog, unless the blog is a personal diary, wants somebody, other than family and friends, to read their blog(s). And, if you're like me, with a family the size of a small city, where only two of the residents read your blogs, you'll want to know how to reach more people.

The way to get people to read your blog is by networking. And one of the best places to promote your blog, other than Twitter, is through Networked Blogs on Facebook.

I have eight blogs registered with Networked Blogs, and I like being part of a community that invites readers to read, to share, and to comment. I would like to extend an invitation to you as well. All of my blogs appear at the end of this paragraph, along with links to my Associated Content from Yahoo! page and my Xomba page.

Writer of Blogs is Now Writing Creatively

I don't mean to imply by the title that Writing Creatively is a new endeavor for me – Writing Creatively is the name of my new web site, and it replaces Writer of Blogs (which I'll keep for my second page where I'll promote the web sites of fellow writers).

Go ahead. Look at the sidebar under Pages and click it to find out who's there. It might be you! Writing Creatively is a work in progress, by the way, so if you are a writer who has books or a web site you'd like to promote, please let me know. I hope to add more names as time goes by.

Anyway, welcome to

Like everybody else I know, I've been extremely busy lately, especially since I joined the A-Z Blog Challenge. Driving back and forth from my home in Urbana to my son and his wife's home in Bourbonnais every week is time consuming too.

As I did in Writer of Blogs, I will list my most recent postings here. One of the sites that I generally post here, though, would take up a lot of room, so rather than list my A-Z Challenge blogs separately, I invite you to visit My Heart Blogs To You and read the following blog titles. Just scroll down the blog itself to read the ones that appeal to you.

Included in the challenge are the following titles:

Amazon Hates Me
Bored – Why?
When Your Daughter Develops, DON'T DO THIS!
Family and Friends
The Grownup Table
Happiness & Joy
Idiots in the Attic
Jokes Accidentally

One of my most recent posts not included in the challenge was written in response to our National Debt issue. I say Let Donald Trump Fix Our National Debt

Based on an article I read, I blogged, How Would You Rate Your Life?

Curious about My Letter From Simon Cowell? That's right – he wrote a letter to ME!

Nolan and the Gasp – Sometimes Good Ideas Can Be Scary (probably what I should have written is that sometimes Grandmas can be scary).

Who wouldn't want a massage from Jim Carrey? I wanted one! At least I did in my dream about Jim Carrey's Massage that appeared on my Your Weird Dreams blog.

Past Life in Holocaust? recounts a dream I had that surprised me years later when I saw a building that looked exactly like the structure that appeared in my dream.

Are Your Dreams Weirder Than Usual Lately? If they are, you'll want to read this blog.

The BEST FACE CREAM I've Found – Avon Anew is a blog where I talk about how much I love (and hate) this product.

Sleep is VERY important to me. As one who suffers from insomnia but who can't afford a thousand dollar bed, I discovered something inexpensive and comfortable. I write about my find in Finally! A Good Night's Sleep

Shopping For Your Afterlife Apparel – What WILL you wear in the afterlife? (a question proposed by another writer, Donald Pennington – I just HAD to blog about it.)

How To Retrieve a Wedding Ring From a Drain Without Calling a Plumber (self explanatory)

Development And How to Embarrass Your Prepubescent Daughter (if you didn't already link to this article from Day #4 in the A-Z Challenge, click the link, and if you have a daughter, read it. You may  save yourself from embarrassing your daughter.

Want to know How to Discover Who You Are Based on Movies and Stories that Impact You? Click the link.

Finally, a Nursery Rhyme for Adults Who Feel Trapped: The Tiny Little Turtle with the Tick Tock Phone

Do you feel responsible for sharing your money every time disaster strikes somewhere in the world? Learn what happens to your Natural Disasters Contributions.

If you need to know how many words are in your proposal, your thesis, or your contest entry, read The Word Count Tool for Writers and Writing Contest Entries.

That's my update. Thanks for visiting Writing Creatively. Please feel free to leave comments.

A-Z Challenge Bloggers – Fantastic Networking Opportunity

I know you're all busy blogging for your A-Z Challenge this month, but I wanted to let you know where you can post your blogs so that even more people will find you.

Before I tell you where to post your blog, though, I have to tell you how to post your blog. And here is the process:

1) If you don't already have one, get a Twitter account, because you'll want to post your blog with the people who run the A-Z Challenge.

2) Copy the url of the blog you want to post.

3) Go to to shorten the name of your blog (Twitter allows only 140 characters).

4) Copy the shortened link.

5) Under "What's Happening" on your Twitter home page, type what appears between the quotation marks – "#atozchallenge".

6) Follow #atozchallenge with the name of your blog, a short description of your blog, or a great hook.

7) Paste the link from onto your Twitter home page immediately following your blog name, blog description, or hook.

8) Press Tweet.

Don't just post your blog. You know how much you appreciate people reading your blog and leaving comments – read blogs posted by others and leave comments for them. Be a good blog buddy ;)
